Hey, I'm Manjun
the photographer behind Photo by Chai. I’m based in Naperville, IL.
After becoming a mom, I realized photography is the way I wanted to document my daughter’s growth — the soft little feet, the milk-drunk smiles, the little giggles.
It slowed me down and taught me to notice more — the connection between parent and child, and the beauty in everyday moments.
Through my work, I hope to help families like yours preserve these fleeting moments and turn them into something lasting.
Every family has its own rhythm.
Some sessions are filled with laughter and movement. Others are quiet and gentle.
My mission is to photograph the moments that already exist in your life
— the connection, the tenderness, and the beautiful ordinary.
Manjun made everything so easy and comfortable, she brought a bunch of decorations to make the photos looks more cozy and warm. My husband is not someone who likes taking pictures even him saying that he felt like we were just hanging out and then the pictures are done, she captured every sweet moment, no awkward posing. Very natural and warm. We love our experience, already recommended her to all of our friends and family!

I didn't feel pressured to be on a schedule and she was so flexible to work around my baby's schedule taking out a lot of the stress.
